He graduated from O’Keefe High School in 1951. He is survived by his wife Ann (Rogers) Clack and his children Donna (Skip) Harrison, Cindy (Bud) Allen, Sharon (Jim) Womack, Teri (Terry) Hall, and Billy (Shonah) Clack. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who will miss him dearly.

MORAN, Cody Cody Ann Moran, 55, of Duluth, died Friday, March 18, 2011 at Peachtree Christian Hospice. She was a native Atlantan who was a realtor and real estate broker for over 20 years. Cody was recognized for many achievements including being a lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Club, 2003 Realtor of the Year by Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of Realtors (NAMAR), and in 1987 “Atlanta’s Best” (Realtors) by the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

Jordan Young commits to the Florida State Seminoles

Conyers (Ga.) Heritage three-star wide receiver Jordan Young has committed to Florida State.

Young flipped from Tennessee to the Seminoles during National Signing Day. He made the move official by sending in his letter-of-intent.

FSU hosted the 6-foot-2, 185-pound wide receiver on an official visit this past weekend.

Ohio teacher put on leave after lynching remark to black student

The teacher told the only black student in the class that “if he didn’t get back on task, then his friends were going to form an angry mob and lynch him.” He responded that her comment was racist, and the teacher “kept asking him why.”

An Ohio teacher who told a black eighth-grader that his friends would “lynch” him if he didn’t finish his work has been put on leave, the school district said, calling the student a “hero” for standing up to her.
